The Russell Center for Creative Arts

Thanks to everyone who came out to the People’s Arts Festival this year on September 21st. It was a huge success with 10 to 12 thousand people in attendance, even after the rain cancellation.

With the success of the inaugural People’s Arts Festival, 2007, a festival devoted to all aspects of the art community, encompassing art, music, film and the rebirth of Detroit. The founding committee members were inspired to establish The Russell Center for Creative Arts (RCCA), a non profit organization. The RCCA’s focus is the promotion of the arts through out the community.

The RCCA created in 2008, by Detroit artists and the generosity of the Boydell Development, a leader in the revitalization of numerous properties in the city of Detroit.

The RCCA was born out of a simple thought, provide a platform to those who may not have the means to share their creations with the public, promote that platform through various networks, which will add to the positive light of Detroit.

Thank you for taking some time to view our site, please look around, check us out and if you have any questions or comments, we would love to hear from you.

Sincerely,
The RCCA BOARD
